Full mission bridge stimulation
From an ultra-modern bridge the officer on watch controls the ship’s course and speed, takes evasive action, if necessary, starts the auxiliary engines and keeps check of the ship’s loaded condition.
The MSTC comprises two bridge simulators with a computer-generated outside view of the simulated surroundings (radius 9m) and a number of consoles containing navigational aids, an electronic chart, a communication system, sound system, worldwide radio-communication system, engine-room and cargo-handling controls.
One simulator has a 360 degrees surround view and the other 300 degrees.
Off the bridge are the instructor’s station and briefing facilities.
