This research project is conducted in order of the Cybercrime Program of the Dutch Police. The main goal of the research project is to identify points for improvement in the way criminal justice agencies handle cybercrime cases.

Youth and Cybersafety: An integral study of online threats to youth
In order of the Dutch Ministry for Education, Culture and Science a multidisciplinary national research on Youth and Cybersafety will be conducted from September 2009 until September 2013. The main goal of this research project is to describe and, even more important, to explain unsafe situations for youth in cyberspace. Thereby, based on its results, the research aims to develop feasible and effective measures to enhance youths’ cybersafety.

First National Victim Survey on Cybercrime
The Cybersafety Chair conducts the First National Victim Survey on Cybercrime in order of the Dutch National Police Force. The research project aims to describe the nature and prevalence of cybercrime victimization in Holland. Miranda Domenie leads the project and aims to use the research for her master thesis in Sociology at Groningen University.

A criminological perspective on offenders of E-Fraud
This research project is conducted in order of the Cybercrime Program of the Dutch Police. It aims to discribe the characteristics of E-Fraud offenders and compares these with the characteristics of classical fraud offenders. Thereby, base don criminological theories, the research aims to explain why E-Fraud occurs.
